The newer generation needs a reminder of the beauty of old times traditions. In this article, I will share with you one of my favorite ways to manifest that. Having books on your coffee table for guests is the best way to showcase your favorite hobbies and reflect parts of your personal style. Old-time traditions of having a welcoming home for guests to feel comfortable included some coffee table etiquette of placing books, magazines, ashtray, and coasters on it. The idea here is to limit as much as possible the need for your guest to feel bored or need to ask you for something. But aside from all the guest talk, what a better way to express your personality and give your home style by selecting books that reflect that.
Now the question will be how can I select a coffee table book that works? Well, It depends on some factors. The 1st being that it has to have imagery, the second has to have bold points that are easy and fast to read through. My top picks, which I will link down below, are fashion-related. Yet you can choose books about cars, new technologies, Design books, Historical places, travel books, Sports equipment books...etc.
Another thing to keep in mind is how many books to have? I always suggest odd numbers when you are decorating any space.
So 1, 3, 5, or 7 would be great. Also, the book sizes shouldn't vary a lot to have a cohesive look.
I hope this small article inspires you to style your coffee table and get yourself some nice books that have an edge to them.
Best of Luck!
